Violencias por motivos de género y estrategias de afrontamiento de mujeres rurales del periurbano bonaerense
Main Article Content
Abstract
Gender-based violence in couple/ex-couple relationships is often defined, characterizing the aggressors and the women who experience this situation, and constructing the state's responses to assist them from a perspective that includes urban settings as a universal proposal. However, the living conditions of rural women create specificities in the manifestations of this violence. Therefore, within the framework of a postdoctoral research project on the specificities of gender-based violence in couple/ex-couple relationships in rural contexts in the province of Buenos Aires, we collected information on this issue together with a rural women's social organization. We held a reflection group, a training workshop with gender advocates, and three meetings to collectively develop a booklet with information on the issue. It was identified that the interweaving of oppressions promoted rhizomatically by patriarchy, extractive capitalism, and colonialism have an impact of expressions of violence within couples/ex-couples and access to adequate care, putting them in a situation of greater vulnerability.
